Monson vs. Sylvester Postponed For a Later Date

(08/17/09 – Cleveland, OH) – The scheduled fight between Jeff Monson and Tony Sylvester at the 3rd Annual NAAFS Rock N Rumble has been postponed for a later date due to a variety of circumstances. Monson has been given an opportunity to avenge a previous loss to Pedro Rizzo on September 12th in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil and NAAFS management has agreed to allow him to take the fight without the risk of injury, with the understanding that the fight against Sylvester will still take place at some point to be determined in the NAAFS.

“This was mutually agreed upon by all three parties involved and we are currently working on a date that will fit with Mr. Monson, Mr. Sylvester, and the NAAFS’ schedule,” declared NAAFS President Greg Kalikas. “If it was just the one potential obstacle, we would have probably not made the decision to push this bout back, however considering the circumstance surrounding both camps at the moment, we feel it’s the best move to make at this particular moment. We feel this card can stand alone even without this bout. Its one of our most stacked fight cards to date”. Kalikas went on to say.
